How to Tune a Ukulele?
| Perhaps the most important thing to do in playing a ukulele is to
properly tune it. If your uke is not in tune your chords will sound as if
you are playing them wrong. As a result your song will not sound as good
as it could. For various reasons stringed instruments constantly go out of
tune. Some of the most common reasons are bumping, strumming, and even
atmospheric conditions. You should always tune your ukulele before
playing. Over time tuning will become easier as you will better recognize
when your uke sounds "out of tune." To use the ukulele tuner, click on one of the four letters to produce the correct sound and then play the same string on your uke and tighten or loosen the corresponding peg to match. |
